Technology Tuesday: New Year, New Media Plans for Your Family

DT:SG - 2016.jpeg

The New Year has started and we’re gearing up for lots of things at Raising Boys and Girls.  We’ll be continuing our blog, with Technology Tuesdays and parenting tips.  We’re coming out on the road to hopefully get to meet YOU at one of our parenting events! We’re having lots of fun and giveaways on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.  We are most excited about the launch of our new book coming out NEXT WEEK, on February 14th!

Are My Kids on Track?

Now, on to the resolutions!  How are yours going? We’ve already fallen off on several of ours.  And it seems that one of the hardest can be the very things we’re trying to limit.  (David, ahem, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream?!) I won’t mention mine—(binge-watching TV shows like This is Us—or Melissa’s—anything chocolate—oops!:) BUT, we would guess, in addition to a few of ours, some of those new limitations around your house might have to do with screens.

At Raising Boys and Girls, we’re always looking for more ways to help!  The American Academy of Pediatrics is, too.  They’ve put out their own version of a Family Media Plan here.

Enter the names and ages of your kids, and they help you do the rest!  (Yes, you still have to implement it…we wish they could be in all of our homes, but…)

We hope that helps you get off to more of a screen-free start in this New Year!  We’re excited to be a part of the life of your family and excited to share more of what’s happening at Raising Boys and Girls in the months to come!
