The Change He Is Making In Me Is Good

“The change He is making in me is good.”

A high school girl said these words in one of our last groups at Daystar of 2015.  She was reflecting on her year…and more than a few struggles she had walked through.  She had battled with anxiety, friend struggles, a few issues in her family.  But, her review of her year landed here:

“The change He is making in me is good.”

She knew that God was using those very things to draw her closer to Him, to create more depth inside of her, more capacity to love.  He was drawing out more of who He has created her to be and awakening hope inside of her at the very same time.

“See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19

At Raising Boys and Girls, we’re grateful for new things.  We’re grateful that He uses the very pain that feels like it’s going to take us under…and redeems it.  Sometimes quickly, but often times slowly.  But He still redeems it.  He still does new things.  And we have the great honor of walking alongside children and families in the process, both at Daystar, through our blog and meeting you over social media, and getting to come into your communities and speak at parenting events.

The change He is making is good.  What kind of change are you seeing in your families?  Your kids?  It’s a great topic to bring up around the dinner table with your family.  What kinds of changes are your children seeing in their lives?  How have they seen God take something hard and turn it for good?
